Hi all my son Flint also has PRS. It was a surprise to us as we were unaware of his problems prior to birth. To add to Flints difficult start he was 2 months prem. he required assisstance with his breathing but turned a corner at his corrected age of 40 weeks gestation. We were lucky enough to escape the jaw distraction surgery and Flint has continued to thrive. he is now 9 months corrected and he is eating like there is no tommorrow. We found that a deccent highchair that sat him up well assissted with this and also removing the Naso Gastric Tube he uses for drinking. This is the newest hurddle for Flint learning to drink and recognize thirst. We havent as of yet had the cleft repair surgery but I must say we are looking forward to this as we hope it will improve things for our son.Our journey so far as been relativly easy and on days of despair I read his diary to remind my self just how far our little son has come.I think the hardest times have been trying to decided if we are making the right decisions for our son so early on in his life and I constantly worry about the outcome in years to come as PRS is new and there isnt a great deal known about it.Flint is now an adorable little boy who continues to surprise and delight his parents.
