Just curious in how everybodies kids are going regarding thier speech??
Does anybody do formal speech?
Does anybodies kids have trouble with particular words and how did you get around this??
Would love any ideas that you all have with your words of experience and wisdom.

Hi Natalie,Thought I would reply and let you know what speech I do with Olivia( Nearly 2). At 12 months I noticed Olivia was trying to say 's' by pushing air through her nose so I approached a private speechie who assessed her. She said she was on track and was very re-assuring but still gave me some ideas to follow up for articulation of certain sounds. The sounds we worked on were 's', 'p', 't' and 'b'. I put pictures starting with that letter on her high chair tray and we would play games at each meal time. We also did some activities to encourage blowing air through the mouth- bubbles, bubbles with a straw in the bath, blowing out candles, blowing kisses. At 2 the speechie wants to see Olivia again(unless I had concerns before), she will do another assessment and I can let you know where we go from there. How old is your child? Is he/she having trouble with particular sounds or words?
