confused!
Can anyone shed light on the realationship betweeen PRS and HEARING LOSS.. I understand every child is different...
We were always told that our son (2yrs old) has fluid on his ears because he doesnt have a palatte and he got one at
16 months old.. when he had that surgery they also put in grommets.. They gave him 'perfect' hearing according to
Australian Hearing.. However they came out very very early. Fluid is up again.. and his hearing loss is 'conductive' still.
hearing tests ranging from 30 - 70.
We were told putting in grommets all the time will give him permenat damage.. and is a short term thing...
He is having moments when days after being tested as 'moderate' that he doesnt respond to sound... Can 'in a parents'
opinion fluid move to give your child a different hearing loss over a period of a day??
We are about to see a new ENT and ask these questions, but would love to hear other peoples experiences!!!!
